Bob Reuter’s Alley Ghost – Born There

$9.99$15.00

Bob Reuter (1951-2013) was a songwriter extraordinaire and a student of the raw Americana. He had a radio show (Bob’s Scratchy Records) that boasted the dirtiest blues, country, gospel, r&B, garage-rock, proto-punk, and rock ‘n’ roll. His own music was a celebration of all of these things, but it was also Reuter using his own poetic license to describe his gritty life in the Midwest. He was the archetype of St. Louis DIY rock ‘n’ roll – uncouth and beautiful with a Bukowski-esque rugged charm.

“Born There” is a celebration of St. Louis’ history of underground music. Featuring some phenomenal contributions on guitar from Mat Wilson as well as guest appearances from some of the Big Muddy crew (Kristo Baricevic on keys, Ryan Koenig on Harmonica), this album is a must have for any fan of rock & roll.
