7 Shot Screamers – In Wonderland
7 Shot Screamers were a glam rock \ rockabilly hybrid that, during their ten-year stint as a touring band, created a lot of noise and warmed a lot of hearts. Deeply influenced by the Heartbreakers and the sounds of 1960s proto-punk, The songwriting team of Mike Leahy and Chris Powers was hard to beat and brought a level of song structure and lyrical themes not often found in your normal 3-chord rock ‘n’ roll band. Once called by Morissey the “rockabilly New York Dolls,” they were both sensitive and tough. The 7 Shot Screamers were a band of outcasts in a world of slicked back hair and black jeans but they were loved by all. “In Wonderland” is their swan song, a journey and reflection through ten years of life in a touring rock ‘n’ roll band.
